Blue Star provides regulatory and administrative support before state oil and gas regulatory bodies, including respondent lists, ownership analysis, application support, and expert land witness testimony. Our deepest experience is before the Oklahoma Corporation Commission, where we've worked through spacings, poolings, clean-up poolings, location exceptions, multi-unit applications, increased density filings, and change of operator proceedings. We've also supported regulatory matters in North Dakota, Texas, Kansas, and other producing states, and can assist operators and counsel in preparing filings that are complete, accurate, and aligned with the applicable state's requirements.

Leasing & Acquisition

Blue Star represents clients in mineral, leasehold, surface, and development rights acquisition across active producing regions and basins. We focus on accurate ownership verification, clear negotiation, and efficient execution in the field. Our work supports both targeted leasing programs and larger development or acquisition efforts where timing and accuracy matter.

Title Research & Ownership Analysis

Blue Star provides patent-to-present title research, held-by-production analysis, and ownership reporting to support leasing, acquisitions, and development planning. Our work is focused on identifying ownership structure, confirming current ownership, identifying potential issues, and assessing development readiness — so clients can move forward with confidence in the underlying title position.

Due Diligence

Blue Star supports both small and large-scale acquisitions with full due diligence review, ownership verification, and defect identification. Blue Star assists in evaluating leasehold and mineral packages, preparing supporting documentation, and identifying issues that may impact value or development timelines.

Title Curative

Blue Star handles title curative work tied to leasing, drilling, acquisition, and revenue distribution. We identify requirements, prioritize resolution, and support the preparation and recording of curative instruments to reduce title issues before and after drilling.

Surface, Right-of-Way & Infrastructure Support

Blue Star provides surface and right-of-way services supporting pipeline, water, utility, and infrastructure development projects. This includes, but is not limited to, landowner coordination, acquisition support, encumbrance analysis, routing and re-routing support, and project-level execution needed to secure and maintain rights for surface and linear development.
